DetailSequential's Prophet-10 is a meticulous re-creation of the ultra rare 1978 synthesizer, the 10-voice version of the iconic Prophet-5. It provides the same authentic sound and design as the Prophet-5, but with the power of 10 analog voices. The Prophet-10 embodies all three revisions of the Prophet-5—the Rev1, Rev2 and Rev3—in a single, premium instrument. At its heart are genuine Curtis analog oscillators and filters, which provide the classic Prophet tone. The Prophet-10 lets you choose between two different filter designs with the Rev switch. Dial in Vintage Character with the Vintage Knob For vintage character, use the Vintage knob to introduce the quirks and randomness of different Prophet-5 models. At 4, the synthesizer behaves stably like the Prophet-5 Rev4. Dial down to 1 to recreate the temperamental character of the rare Prophet-5 Rev1. The Vintage knob varies the behavior of oscillators, envelopes, amplifiers and other parameters to emulate different Prophet-5 models from stable to vintage. Expression and Control The Prophet-10 provides expression with velocity sensitivity, aftertouch, and a filter and amplifier envelope for each of the 10 voices. Use the filter envelope and oscillator B to modulate destinations like filter cutoff, oscillator A frequency and oscillator A pulse width. Connect modular synths and other gear with control voltage and gate inputs/outputs. A full five-octave, semi-weighted keybed lets you play with nuance and dynamics. Analog Sound and Modern Enhancements At the Prophet-10's core are two multi-waveform analog oscillators, resonant low-pass filters and amplifiers for each of the 10 voices. 40 original Prophet-5 factory sounds are included for vintage inspiration. While recreating this classic, Sequential added modern features like MIDI, USB and DIN sync connectivity. A steel and hand-oiled walnut body houses the analog components in a sleek, sturdy build.
